My birth number is above nine, it’s ten!~ Help?

I’m studying numerology and apparently your birth number can only be 1-9 but my digits are 3+1+3+1+9+9+2! That equals 28, and 2+8 is ten! What have I done wrong? Does this make me automatically a 9 because I went above?

    Numerology has nothing to do with mathematics try mythology folklore or religion spirituality.

    Numerology nor would put any faith in such superstitions can hazzard guess 10 is two digit number 101.
